Poured from a can dated 12/19/19 into the test mug
A - Dark mahagony color, transluscent, solid carbonation yields a quick to exit off white cap
S - Dark malt forward, integrated with plum, fig, raisan, a slight hint of char
T - Dark sugars, dark malts but avoids the chocolate side, again dark fruits
M - Medium on the palate, semi sweet start, stays for the entire experience, runs up to the edge of too much, then stops at the line. Finish has a bit of an edge to it
O - A fine offering that i will seek out again, fresher, this one although quite good is in its autumn year.

Hard to find Bocks on the shelves in recent years so I was very pleasantly surprised to come across this one from Rising Tide at the Craft Beer Cellar in Westford, MA as it helped to make the travel from my NH home worthwhile. The pour into my pint glass was a deep amber color with a fluffy white head. The malt dominates in the taste but it's a rather sweet taste overall. The 6.7% ABV seems perfect in helping to give it the body expected in a Bock. It's the only Bock I've seen to date but I have to believe it will be able to compete very well against whatever competition arises this early spring season.
I only picked up 1 can for my sampling purposes but will be back at CBC shortly for a few 4-packs. Rising Tide has a winner in this category.

Missing any semblance of a head or lacing. Ok color- a bit darker than amber. Smells abock right. Tastes decent. Coulda used a tad more yeast to munch up that extra sweetness. Feels like a bock. Slightly less carb maybe, but not offlutting necessarily. Ok bye.
