Look: The perfect Scotch Ale, Deep Clear Amber with a creamy head.
Smell: Toasty "Oaky-Vanilla" as taken from the Wild Heaven website (I added the toasty). Thought it was the best description.
Taste: A malty/sweetness with some booziness from the 9% ABV with a lingering sweet almost caramel aftertaste.
Feel: Medium carbonation and smoothen the palate
Overall: A very good Scotch Ale. Easy to drink and pares well with finger food. I feel it has little room for improvement.

Scotch ales are an underappreciated style, and this beer is a great example why. Forget hops; the malt does all the work here. Pouring a deep crimson (basically black unless it's held up to a light), 95 shilling smells of sweet caramel, malted grain and a little bit of oak. It's deeply sweet smelling, and it's fantastic. It tastes malt-forward, as it should, with caramel and some dried fruit, as well as a boozy warmth without the alcohol taste. There's some roasty malty bitter that finishes it out. It's well-rounded, sweet, full and delicious. Definitely worth your time.
