We designed Valley of Gold as an homage to one of the greatest beers ever brewed. This Belgian Pale boasts a cloud-like head that rests on a straw-gold body. In the old-world tradition, it is dry hopped with whole cone Crystal hops for a particularly vibrant and expressive hop profile. Each bottle and keg undergo a secondary fermentation with brettanomyces brux which adds layers of complexity and a farmhouse quality that makes this beer intricate and amazing.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat hazy golden color with a one finger head; a few gobs of lacing stick
Smell: Belgian yeast phenols and barnyard funk with black pepper and a hint of candied citrus
Taste: There is a candied citrus flavor that is present from start to finish; peppery yeast flavors emerge, early on, with the earthy barnyard funk joining, in the middle; the candied citrus buids in the finish, however, though the Brett also lingers
Mouthfeel: Medium body but overcarbonated
Overall: Wild Heaven's homage to Orval has a lot of merit but, ultimately, doesn't quite hit the target; the mouthfeel/carbonation is the biggest issue; kudos to the brewers for trying
