“Made with a hint of roasted malts” “Slightly hopped with malty overtones”
Served on tap at the Lumberyard Brewpub in Flagstaff.
A: Looks good: crystal clear very dark reddish amber; with a good, long lasting off-white head that leaves excellent lacing patterns.
The aroma is as expected: a malty lager.
The flavor too reflected a well-crafted lager with darker roasted malts than usual.
Rather average, lager mouthfeel, although not over-carbonated like many lagers.
O: interesting style variant but not something I’d be eager to have again.
