Pours a five+ finger beige head that fades quickly leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slightly malty nose, flavor is almost malty with some citric hops. Not terribly bitter. $6.95 for a 22oz bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

22 oz. bottled picked up about a month ago and refrigerated for most of that time.
A: Pours a very nice, deep golden amber with a big, fluffy white head; beautiful translucence and haziness; lingering lacing; near perfect, a real looker.
S: A bit faint, but pleasant; bready malts dominant with hints of citrus darting about.
T: Biscuity with a hint of citrus or banana perhaps, this a delicious malt-forward beer. The hops are there, though, but without being overly assertive; mostly present in a long, dry, hoppy finish. The aftertaste on this one is wonderful and leads quickly to a second sip. Very nice, and a wonderful example of a good beer letting the malts shine. I'm surprised to see this listed as a BPA. I can sort of see the hints of citrus, but to me this exemplifies a good English-style bitter.
M: The body is a bit lighter, but very smooth. I think I'd like it to be a bit thicker, but I'm not bothered by the lightness really.
D: Refreshing and delicious; nice, low ABV; smooth and tasty; low carbonation: all leading to a very drinkable beer. This is my third Squam beer, and perhaps my favorite to date. I'd love to see this available in a four- or six-pack or on tap someday. If I could pick it up in a different size, this would be a go-to beer.

22oz bottle.
Pours cloudy gold with a thin, white head. A partial skim coat on the surface and dotting lacing throughout the glass.
Aromatics lead off with clovey phenols, citrus, and biscuity malt. Peaches, melon, and tangerine with traces of bubblegum and bannana.
On the lighter side of medium bodied. Light carbonation with a crisp and slightly watery mouthfeel.
Bannanas, clove, orange peel, and honey-drizzeled biscuits start the palate. A nice fruit and spice backbone without being overdone. A firm, drying bitterness adds a nod of hops and keeps the residuals in check.
Finishes with lingering bannana skins, clove, citrus, and doughy malt.
Tasty brew. Ramp up the carbonation, body, and ABV and I'd be real happy.

From a 22 fl.oz. bottle. First batch. Sampled on December 6, 2010. It is bottle conditioned so it pours a cloudy pale golden-yellow with a decent half-inch fluffy off-white head that lingers for awhile. The aroma has citrus notes and a bready, yeasty, pilsener type character up front. The body comes in at about medium but it is incredibly smooth on the tongue. The taste exhibits an array of traits including sweet malts, grapefruit, and a slightly dry hopped ending. The brewer calls it a bitter but to me it feels more like a Belgain Pale Ale without the spices and high ABV. Very refreshing.
