What a great experience to happen across this at the time I did ! My high rating and effusive review result as much from the beer as perfect circumstance of a beautiful Fall day, a picnic table outside in the sun and gentle breeze while sharing a deli lunch with my wife.
ABV is not on the can, but it seemed around 5.5%. While also billing itself as an APA, I put this in the pumpkin category. Brewer advises serving cool, but not ice cold. Mine was warming fast and was fantastic.
The Sincerest gets its name from the Peanuts story about how The Great Pumpkin only visits sincere patches. Proud of its local pumpkin and squash source, this brewer in the Berkshires made a fine beer; totally contained within itself, not trying to be too much. Wandering Star let's the malt develop into a sweet and savory beer that gently got my glands going to make up for an otherwise bland meal.
May the experience of this beer and picnic remain with me until my dying days !
