The clear dark golden yellow colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1” ivory head that recedes slowly but visibly to a cap and then a thin island of foam on the surface and a circle of foam around the glass while leaving a circle and web of lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates several small patches of lacing, most of which slide back down to the liquid.

The aromas include lots of tropical fruits along with citric zest from the hops. The fruits seem to include mango, a bit of peach, some orange and citric zest. There is also some light biscuit and caramel from the malt.

The flavors are much as expected from the nose with lots of tropical fruits such as mango, some peach, some orange and citric zest. The biscuity caramel sweetness from the malt is way in the background and hardly noticeable.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and lightly crips with the active finely bubbled carbonation. The flavor profile begins changing early on with an initial touch of sweetness that then gives way to the solid bitterness and fruit flavors from the hops. The finish begins as the fruit flavors begin to fade leaving the citric zest bitterness to more slowly fade away to a dry ending in the back of the mouth.

On the whole this is a solid, well-made IPA that I’ve enjoyed drinking and would be fine with having again. The fruits and citrus show nicely and the bitterness is solid and persistent making this drinkable if you want IPAs that are solid, well made and drinkable That said I’ll not be going out of my way to have again simply because there are so many comparable choices brewed locally.

Pours out of the can a slightly opaque gold with a finger of head that dissipates quickly. Smells like grapefruit and a little bit of pine. Tastes similar with a lasting bitterness that is enjoyable.

Up-Hi pours a copper color with a small but long-lasting head. The aroma is earthy and bitter. The flavor is nice and bold, earthy, with good bitterness and a trace of citrus. Good body and feel. Overall, nice IPA with bold flavors and bold bitterness.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a clear golden orange, with a thick, fluffy white head about a finger and a half's worth of head. Good retention and lacing.

Aroma: citrus, pineapple, orange zest and peels, peach, papaya, mango, lemon peels and zest, biscuit, a touch of pine, caramel, and floral and herbal hops.

Mainly tasting the fruity notes and zests mentioned in the aroma, pine in the background, biscuit, while tasting quite herbal. Body is medium-light.

This beer has a slightly resiny aroma, but boy does the citrus flavor come through on the palate. Quite good and I got it at a real bargain too! I'll keep an eye out for this when I want a nice, bright IPA.

The taste and feel didn't match the expectations set by the bright citrusy aroma.

Orange with a slight haze, lots of carbonation and three fingers of orange tinged white head.

Smells basically of nothing maybe some hard water and a slight fruitiness.

The taste is of caramel and slight stone fruit fruitiness. It tastes almost like an old world IPA.

Medium body with moderate carbonation nothing wrong with the feel.

I got this in North Carolina and I’m drinking in California July 21, 2020.
