Lighthouse Brewing 'Company Lager' @ 5.1% , served from a 6pack of 355 ml cans
A-pour is light gold from the can to a clear light gold in the glass with a medium size white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-hints of grains & grass , (kinda skunky)
T-clean & crisp American lager , easy drinking
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-one of the better local lagers

Clear light gold color. Poured a medium head which collapsed to a patchy skiff after a couple of minutes. Low flow of small bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left no lacing.

Some slightly sweet fruit (couldn't place it) and a hint of barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up some more barnyard and a sweet chemical or plastic scent.

Slightly sweet, perfumed flavor. Not quite floral; could be some overripe fruit; a little artificial, like a type of plastic. Some malt shows up after it warms up a bit. The aftertaste returns to the sweet plastic flavor and a little bitter. There is also a bit of a sour chemical flavor in the aftertaste that builds up more towards the end of the glass.

Light tongue tingling. Grows to a medium bubbled, unstructured foam.

Very strange artificial smell and flavor that tended towards plastic or maybe woodworking glue. Disappointing.

At the Irish Times Pub in Victoria, BC.
Draft, came with no head and only a skin of lace. Was crystal clear light gold in color.
AROMA: Grass, not much more.
TASTE: Lager, Pils type character. Thirst quenching, and crisp. Not much going on here but enjoyed this simple lager.

This is one of the better thirst quenchers on a warm summer evening on a patio in Victoria BC on Vancouver Island. It is brewed locally right here on the island. As a newbie craft beer fan, I am learning that local brews is where it's at. If you are visiting Vancouver Island and you enjoy light lagers, this is the one.
