Appearance is very attractive with lots of foam on the golden yellow clear nearly clear brew. Veils of lacing in the Brasserie Dupont chalice. So fragrant with pears and lemon. Lush mouthfeel with a creamy carbonation.
This has that distinctive "meaty" flavor. Malty and warm but with a sharp tang. They managed to avoid the excess of yeast that seems to cause that raspy bitterness in a lot of Saisons. This one has the Belgian dry finish and just a whiff of funkiness. One of the most well-balanced Farmhouse-style beers I've had. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the taproom west of Mount Vernon.
