Slightly hazy orangey amber brew with a modest foam in the Bushmills tumbler. Aromas of peach and pine. There is some sweet malt but it's quickly overpowered by the massive hop attack. Flavor is orange marmalade with grapefruit pith. Very bitter aftertaste.
Overall, this is a serious hop bomb, with all the astringency and bitterness and piney blast you could hope for. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewery tasting room. This 9/20/2017 version is 9.3% ABV (see photo).

From the brewers info sheet: 90 minute boil with hops added every 10 minutes using Galena, Simcoe and Northern Brewer hops.
Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear light golden yellow with about a half-inch of just off-white head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was very hop forward, with a nice blend of citrus and pine, supported by a touch of malt sweetness. There is a trace of alcohol in the background. On the tongue the hops are really burst forward. The dominant flavors are the citrus and pine from the hops. There is a bit of a sweet finish and a noticeable alcohol taste at the end.
The body was very good for the style, but perhaps was a bit too sticky on the finish for me, but it was still very good. Drinkability was very good for such a big beer. A couple would go down perhaps too easy.
Overall, a very good brew for a new breweries first attempt at the style. Worth seeking out if you're in the Puget Sound.
