On cask at the barrel house.
The beer pours a blackish brown color with minimal head retention and lacing. This has the appearance of a beer that has seen some significant barrel aging. On the nose, the beer is quite attractive, showcasing dark fruits, dark chocolate, light bourbon and some light spice. On the palate, mama mia! Wow this is delicious stuff. The flavor profile consists of belgian dark chocolate, brandy cherries, marachion cherries, light vanilla and noticeable bourbon. The beer is on the sweet side, but that sweetness is by no means overdone, and the beer is just delicious. Mouthfeel is fairly full and soft, with a moderately long finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile (typical for Cascade), with no burn or heaviness on the finish.
Just an absolutely delicious beer.
