This Imperial Stout was aged for up to seven months in Heaven Hill bourbon and Pinot barrels, with vanilla beans added during cold conditioning, resulting in a decadent cornucopia of flavors and aromas – including dark chocolate, vanilla and licorice – with bourbon soaked dark fruit and tobacco undertones.

"VINTAGE Diesel (2013) 10% ABV" is what it says on the beer list here at the brewery brewpub.
The "staff favorite" is absolutely amazing, as one can tell from merely sniffing it. It smells as good as any liquer, candy or baked good I've ever had, and bears some resemblance to each of these. Loads of toffee mix with bourbon (Heaven Hill?), vanilla, and mild wood flavors. Silky smooth and soft for 10% ABV (or even lower). Nicely sweet, rich and complex. Unfortunately, there's only about 40 more 4 oz servings left then it will be gone forever.
