I had this beer on-tap in a goblet at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: very dark brown, nearly black, with a bit of haze. Head is a finger of creamy ivory foam. I think it's on-point for the style.
Smell: very very light aroma, with hits of caramel. Not a bad composition, but definitely too low-volume.
Taste: on the dry side with a bit of caramel, roast and toastiness. Well-balanced and restrained; I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a very good creaminess; great for the style.
Overall: definitely a good example of the style; well worth trying.

On-Tap
A – Pours a dark deep black in color, with a thin nearly white head. Almost opaque, but there is some translucency around the edges, carbonation appears high too.
S – Bitter, dark roasted chocolate malts. Very one dimensional.
T – Universal flavors of bitter roasted chocolate malts, some bitter bakers chocolate as well.
M – Quite thin and lighter than expected, very dry and crisp.
O – Just OK, expected more from this brewery, this comes across very one dimensional and thin. Unfortunately.

Pours a finger and half of head on a black body.
The aroma is roasted malt.
The taste is a dry roasted with a touch of bitterness. Coffee.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation.
A solid and easy drinking stout.
