A: Deep cherry-like aroma, slightly vinous, with some leather notes in the background.
A: Dark brown, opaque with a very light head.
T: Vinous flavor, mixed with cherries and leather. Slightly astringent from the oak.
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Hard to believe this is just a base beer, because it is excellent on its own. A great take on the classic Flemish ale.
