Pours a brown color much like regular Bourbonic Plague. Very small 1/6" also brown head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, brown malt, roasted malt.
Taste, pretty smooth, lots of boozy caramel and toffee like a Bruery anniversary beer, but with less heat and more roasted malt. That boozy Cracker Jack (tm) kind of feel. Very smooth, seemingly has no bitterness about it. Takes on some sugar and chocolate notes that actually makes this even easier to drink. Goes down easy, which is quite a feat given the very high amount of alcohol on this, you can't taste much of it.
Aged 100 days in Heaven Hill barrels, seems like they get more bourbon than that out of this, and the Heaven Hill barrels almost always work nicely, providing more likelihood you get a little bit of sweetness and cover the booze up even more.
