Copenhagen 12/7 2020. 50 cl corked bottle from Best of Beers webshop. White and green, sober label telling me this is the 2019 batch and part of the Northwest Sour Series.
Pours hazy orange with a small, bubbly white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweetish cider-like quality and a herby, spicy streak. Modest funky notes. Sweet pear, hints of peach, herbs. Rosemary. Citrus and vinegar.
Strong carbonation. Thin, oily, fizzy texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong sourness. Aftertaste is sour with a light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Sour but with a notable sweet streak from the pear juice. Nice and dry brew with a herbal touch.

Mostly clear wedding band gold with a short white head quickly dispersing to a creamily curled collar.
While tart and pear-accented, I'm also getting ALTOIDS threads similar to what I do in Phunkenship beers. It's weird to detect that here not long after trying some more of Platform's funky work, especially considering I haven't detected that characteristic in a sour beer in ages.

Pours a hazy light orange, light touch of white foam. Smells sour, fruity. Pretty heavy sourness, sharp, clearly American-style. Pear is there, but light, giving some sweetness. Can really get the rosemary, lovely herbal notes working well. Fun and nice.

another stunner from these guys, i am loving the smaller and more affordable bottles, its the right dose and the right price, and it was a great move for the brewery i reckon. this is hazy and only moderately frothy with white foam on top but dissipating quickly, some fish food sediment at the very bottom, but a fine looking brew. aroma and flavor is wheaty and sweet, cereal grain and green fruit, with the piney and winter minty elements of the rosemary ahead of their usual culinary properties, really cohesive together, appealing immediately. somewhat less sour than other cascade beers have been, but still with some quick acidic, even acetic punch, citrusy sure, but the pear is honest and real without being perfume driven to me, sweet a little yeah, but i get the skin and the essence too, and its killer with the rosemary, like a pizza and a cocktail with these ingredients also seem to be in order. lemony pucker, lots of grain underneath it all, and good bubbles pushing through the fuller feel. cool mix of flavors, organic and spicy and herbal and good, the fruit is but one of many elements, but it is cool to have the pear on its own here in terms of fruit contribution. fun recipe, well executed, nicely priced, bravo!

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one finger head; thick shards and splashy lace
Smell: Acetic pear with hints of ginger and pine; vinous and oaky
Taste: Acetic pear forward with the ginger and pine bursting; vinous white wine elements emerge, in the middle, with the oak picking up the rear
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation; puckery
Overall: You don't come across many pear sours and they have handled this deftly
