Look: Crystal clear amber in color with a billowing off-white head that recedes leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Pilsner malt, cereal grains, freshly baked bread, earthiness, and floral hop notes
Taste: Bready malt and floral hops come out swinging with layers of pilsner malt and earthy notes coming and going throughout. Sweetened cereal grains become prominent in the middle before warm bread and light floral notes close it out
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, very clean and crisp throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and somewhat soft finish
Overall: I dig it. I didn’t realize these folks ventured much outside of fruited sours, wild ales, etc. so it was a delicious surprise when I saw who made it. Tasty and well-made to me with great malt depth along with enough floral and earthy hop notes to keep it balanced. My first beer from these folks and though I figure their “sour game” is on point, nice to see they can branch out and make a nice Heller Bock
