On tap at Raccoon Lodge poured into Teardrop glass 1.17.10. 8.5 % ABV, 39 IBU.
One finger white head, medium dissipation with nice lacing. Light gold body, a lot of visible carbonation. A bit fruity in the nose, stone fruits, peaches, pears, not much hop presence. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, but not overly so, same fruity esters as the nose, a little bit of vanilla, little floral hops on the back-end. Dry, tart lip-smacking finish. Not sure if I got the style right, but given the flavor profile Belgian Strong Pale is my best guess. A bit more fruity than many beers in this style. Fairly drinkable for this ABV, alcohol well hidden. Tasty, worth a try.
