As an ode to the rambunctious brambles that pervade the Pacific Northwest, Native Bramble features sour blond ale aged in oak puncheons for up to two years with fresh, Northwest-grown raspberries and fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. This limited, draft-only project showcases the brilliant acidity of raspberry fruit followed by subtle Brettanomyces flavors including tropical fruit and citrus notes.

Had on tap. The best cascade I have had in years, helped me remember a time many years ago when I sought their crazed sours. Murky purplish red body with a beige cap. Smells strongly of sour raspberry and red currant back by oak. Taste has more underlying supporting elements such as blackberry, vanilla, passion fruit and a whisper of citrus, melding well with the pure raspberry and oak goodness. Feel is sour, decently acidic, medium bodied, and light, pucker up.
