This sour blond ale was aged in oak wine barrels for up to two years with fresh tangerine zest and Northwest-grown red raspberries. Tangerine, Tangerine, living concoction from a dream, raspberry love, fruit crisp and clean, and now A Thousand Beers Between!

It’s nice that Cascade is getting more distribution in my area these days. It seems like before only the old “shelf turds” were around, but now we’re seeing the newer releases hit the shelves. I love a good wine BA Wild Ale, so let’s see what this is all about
Pours a cloudy orange gold with 2 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
Man, the tangerine and wine barrel combining together really results in a sharp pungent nose. I’m picking up on aromas of white wine vinegar, stone cellar, tangerine zest, lemon juice, tart raspberry, sharp oak, and a touch of white pepper
Likewise in taste it is intense, but perhaps a touch more restrained than the aroma. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tangerine zest, lemon juice, jammy raspberry, white wine, wet hay, and sharp oak. The swallow brings notes of tangerine candy, white wine vinegar, white pepper, bready malt, apple skin, sharp oak, tart raspberry, and light stone
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes a tad sticky but nothijg detrimental
This is solid stuff. Complex enough to sit and ponder, simple enough to kick back and crush

Cloudy orange body with a cream colored cap. Smells of tangerine, orange and peach with apricot, raspberry, lemon as the second less strong wave.with oak backing. Taste is short lived with a burst of the raspberry and tangerine with zesty citrus and slight apple, but it is gone so quickly with an oaky and yeasty finish. Feel is pretty acidic and sour, thinner and lighter bodied, sneaky wet. Just one that didn't have the depth you could sink your teeth into

been loving the rate of new stuff and the diversity from cascade the last year or so, downright impressive really. this is one of the few that has been more approachable in terms of abv, a wood aged sour done with tangerine zest and raspberries, a neat mix of fruits, plenty piquant and woody, and almost candy-like in some ways without being particularly sweet at any point, a nice beer, cool to have found it on draft. pinkish orange color, look like both fruits tainted this equally, not much head after a minute, but its fizzy like soda. the nose is orange rind and essential oils, more citrus than raspberry here for sure, clean bacterial tang at the usually high intensity for cascade, but mellowed nicely by all the oak, hints of red apple and white wine in the mix as well, not overly complex, but some funk here too. the flavor is more balanced between the tangerine and the raspberry, both are tart, or at least seem that way in a sour like this, natural though, identifiable, and summery, like a fruit punch meets a beer. starburst candy to me, maybe some skittles too, but its dry at the end, and takes on more of a vinous tannic thing as the oak picks up. a little odd overall, tasty but more fruity than beery, not a lot of malt character here at all, and it sort of has a melted popsicle thing going on. i hope this amazing influx of cascade keeps up!
