sexy little can this time from cascade, rad art on this, and i appreciate this format for them, lots of the beers are so expensive and so sour that this is the right amount. this is a sour blonde and wheat blend, cool how they always seem to be blends from these guys, done with lime zest, sea salt, and coriander in tequila barrels, im glad its as low alcohol as it is, some of these run real strong too. the pour is close to clear through much of the can, brassy toned with an average white head on it, slowly fading and fizzy. it smells and tastes really intense on the acidity and on the tequila, downright tequila shot with a lime vibes, salt on my hand and all. its neat how much tequila is on this, its the first thing i smell and the last thing i taste, it seems enhanced by the not so subtle saltiness which is rad, my wife would love this. the lime is natural and robust, way ahead of the coriander, zesty and bright. and there is some oak too, not just tequila, but this is woody to high heaven as well. its real sour, i feel it on my teeth and in my throat going down, some white wine vinegar to it, but also a higher degree of bretty funk than some other recent cascade beers, which adds a lot of intrigue to this one, neat against the freshness of the lime. cool how tequila forward it is, i think the coriander adds a nice wrinkle too but its way back, and there is a spicy woody finish here with the tangy lactic character. great carbonation too. overall i was quite impressed with this one, super flavorful and dynamic, clean for the style, robust but drinkable, even refreshing when its nice and chilly. great stuff.
