Poured from 12oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 3/2/22. According to the label, "this sour golden ale was aged in oak barrels and foudres for up to 10 months before dry hopping with Strata and Sabro hops."
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and two fingers of frothy foam atop. I like it.
Smell: a sweetish malt with a grassy funk and just a bit of sourness rounding it out. Not groundbreaking, but quite nice.
Taste: quite tart up front, with an interestingly minty hop character right behind the sourness. The sharp edge of the sourness fades pretty quickly leaving you with the funk, malt, and mint. Very interesting indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is an interesting beer, and although I might not go searching for it again, I give it points for originality. Definitely worth a try if funky is your wheelhouse.
