I'm with @StonedTrippin. These guys have been really unique, and I will miss the Cascade concoctions.
Cherry Lime is somewhat unusual. It's fruity, less sour than many of their beers, and generally a light summer friendly beverage. There's oak in it, but the barrel influence isn't what I notice. It's the cherry lime flavor, a slightly unusual flavor combination that's really good. As wild ales go, this one isn't particularly sour, just a bit tart. Very refreshing.
Look for it if you can find one of the cans remaining on the shelves. I saw one at my local Vashon store.

news of their sudden closure last week breaks my heart, this place is truly legendary, and i will make sure this is not the last beer i ever drink from them, trust me, there is enough around in the west at least that this will not be the end. cool beer here, unassuming in the can, rye based beer, although that part is lost a little to the acid and fruit intensity, aged in oak, which adds a lot to this, and done with cherry and lime zest, as well as some vanilla bean, which is sweetening and maybe not totally necessary, but its summery and fun, light for being barrel aged, funky and sour both, and real fruit forward, delicious really, even if a small doses thing. pink to red in color with a low glow, some haze but i wouldnt call it murky or dull, not much head at all. the nose is tangy and puckery and mouthwatering with obvious lime, sour red cherry, and to me also lemon, much be a lactic element. the oak is there, its kind of vinous to me with that, some brett here too, and a little fruity sweetness to balance the sharp, really enticing. the flavor is more of the same, lots of acid from both the lime and the base beer, the wood softens it some, and here the vanilla comes in and also does that, floral and sort of feminine and sexy. i do think it makes the taste a little overly flavored, even though on its own is not too much, if that makes sense. the cherry is first, the lime is second, both are pungent, and there are cranberry and raspberry notes here too, which the vanilla brings out. nice funk as it warms, more and more from the oak, almost a faint cinnamon hit too. really sour but very good, so obviously cascade, i will miss them most when all of their beer is actually gone, one of the all time greats, a total pioneer, huge loss for all sour fans.
