On tap at the Barrel House as a vintage offering FROM 2009, and it sounds dramatically different from the other review here.
Hazy orange with a thin white head that hangs around a while, leaving some lace. The nose has a lot of sweetness to it, with an oxidized malt and honey sweetness. Moderately sour, this smells mildly fatty as well. The palate opens very sour with a prominent lactic sourness with plenty of oak, vanilla and honey and caramel. Lactic sourness is overdone here, really drying out the palate, which then allows the oak to further bludgeon your palate. Moderately spicy with cinnamon and clove, this beer could use a little funk to make it better. Also, I think I get a mild apple character. Ultimately, the one disappointment from yesterday.

one of the live barrel creations at Cascade Barrel House
pours a dark brown with a good amount of almost caramel colored white head that slowly dissipates into soft lacing across the top of the glass
great complex smell, cherries, raspberries, citrus (oranges and lemons), some bourbon and lots of sour funk
great taste of cherries, raspberries, oranges, lemons, oak, bourbon, funk all balanced with a slight sweetness, a fantastic combination that really does taste slightly like the candy.
very nicely carbonated though the high ABV can be felt slightly in a bit of the burn in the mouth.
overall a great beer that I strongly suggest trying on tap as this was a one off.
