On tap at the Cascade brewpub: 2015 version at 6.8% ABV in July 2016.

Aroma: ginger and lime dominated aroma is moderately appealing despite making a subtle suggestion of household cleaning products. Bitter-sweet with a near even balance, at least for a sour..
Well crafted and exceptionally refreshing, this is the easiest drinking sour I can remember.
Golden-amber body with a lasting off-white head that leaves patterned sticky lacing on the snifter.

Overall: excellent version of the style.

cascade just doesnt miss with these full flavored wild sour beers. this is one of the more interesting ones i have had, a real refreshing summer elixer, potent on both the ginger and the lime, and with quite a bit of raw honey flavor too. yum! its pale and hazy, nothing real exciting to look at, but the nose is a game changer. one smell and i am hooked. fresh sliced ginger, tangy lime zest, lactic sourness, floral honey, and white wheat malt. the flavor is really led by the lime and the ginger, together they go so well, this is almost like a cocktail in that regard. it would almost be too much, like, this is intense, sort of perfumey almost, really pungent, but the flavors are so authentic and they go so well together, that its alright that this doesnt taste all that much like a beer. the sourness is lactic, lemony, scaled back a bit from some of their more aggressive sours to just a nice tartness range that allows a little more drinkability and a little less stomach turning pucker. the honey is a nice balancing agent too, it adds body and some needed sweetness, like a spoonful of sugar into some fresh squeezed lemonade, it just makes sense. this is summery and radiant, incredibly flavorful, and something very unique in the beverage world. we both loved it.

I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the barrel house.

Appearance: medium orange hue with a moderate haze and a finger of creamy ivory foam.

Smell: lightly limey with a nice sour element that is very enticing.

Taste: like the name says, there's honey, ginger and lime. It's all well balanced with a moderate sourness and the overall effect is very candylike. Delightful!

Mouthfeel: medium light body with a nice carbonation and a nice prickliness.

Overall: very delicious and sweet candy-dessert beer. Mmmmmm.
