Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a lightly translucent black with about an inch of medium tan head that had very low retention and no lacing.

The aroma had a nice amount of roastiness on top of the base grain scents. I did smell a touch of buttery diacetyl. On the tongue, I found a weird tangy funk upfront that distracted from the nice grain and roast. That diacetyl was even more noticeable and the funk got more prominent across the tongue as the glass went on. Given the amount of wild critters this brewery uses on a regular basis, it's a few escaped and found their way into this beer.

The body was pretty thin for a Stout and may have been thin for a Porter. Drinkability was OK, but with the diacetyl and funk it wasn't that enjoyable. Overall, the beer was OK and is probably worth a shot if you see it.
