I don't typically pass-up cascade live barrels, but I wasn't too enthused by the concept of a concord grape wild ale...definitely has that grape-juice thing going on - sweet and a little tangy, big purple grape, tastes like grape candy and grape soda. Interesting, but that's about it.

Served in 10oz goblet. Poured a very dark brown, just a bit of reddish tint around the edges, with just a thin cap of light brown head that quickly dissipated into a thin ring that had good retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was certainly grape forward, with a relatively mild sourness behind that. There was a nice solid malt base supporting the fruit and sour. The flavor profile was pretty similar, the grape was a bit more noticeable, and the sour had more pucker power. The base beer was a good foundation, with good malts providing a counter point for the sourness.
The body was OK, just a bit on the thin side of medium, and had a nice dry finish. Drinkability was pretty good, if you like sours, you could easily have a couple. Overall, a nice beer that's probably a must try if you see it.
