On tap for Beachwood Sour Fest at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.
Pours a hazy dark honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour and tart with cinnamon, spice, and apple aromas. Taste is much the same with spiced sour apple flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice spiced apple presence even though no actual apples were used in this one.
