My first from Badlands, I went on their website and read that they are one of those areas outside of the Sydney metro that is attracting culinary aficionados which, of course, includes beer (and wine.) Badlands is nearly 13 years old and is mostly the project of a home brewer gone commercial. They push the community and environment buttons. So for all that, I give them good Overall Hugs.
As for U-Boat... It's a decent lager that does its job, but nothing special. U-Boat Looks about average, needs more foam and clarity. Smells mostly of sweet malt with some hops in the back of my nose. Tastes are balanced, but also could use more depth. Medium-mouthed. Cheers, Mates !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
