Tastes a bit like a gueze beer but with more farmyard flavor. Looks a bit like apple juice. Smells of flowers as well as overall woodiness. Decent beer to drink.

Smells somewhat like Geuze, tastes like geuze, but a bit watered down, a bit toned down. Birreria Volo tap for that bar's anniversary. A good drinker, with lots of acid in aftertaste.

Had this on draft @ the Rare Barrel on 8/4/19.

A glorious American take on the oud geuze style; balanced, tart, fruity (mango & pineapple) & easy to drink. Not the greatest of all time, but certainly WELL above average. Elegant!

This is the review for Jester King 2018 Spon Three Year Blend Nr-1. Nr-2 & Nr-3 are in their respective place. I tasted them side by side. The flavors were pretty similar but not the same. They are all tart, lemony, a little bit sweet, Geuze like, they have some barnyard funk, they taste a bit like champagne, and they all have a grassy bitterness towards the end, and they are all great. However, I liked this one the best.

Look: hazy dark golden like apple juice, with an inch thick white frothy head

Aroma: biscuit, lemon, barnyard funk, grassy

Taste: tart, lemon, sweet, champagne, barnyard funk, grassy bitterness, but all just the right amount, very well balanced.

Body/Overall: light to medium body

Pours a foggy orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is stone, stonefruit, lemon zest, and . Flavor profile is stone fruit, stone, lemon drop, grassy and earthy malts. Splendid little tartness at the back that lightly locks the jaw, and then beckons for another sip. Overall, balance is well achieved here, greeting each sip with almost clinical precision.

From notes Austin area trip last August 2018. Had on tap and was highly impressed with such an excellent spontaneously fermented beer. Poured a light straw gold color with a puffy small bead head. Decent retention for the style and nice lace. Nose was dry hop; grassy straw; some barn funk. Taste was delicate melange of farm; some dried pit fruit and restrained funk. The body was absolutely spot on. Soft and gentle natural carbonation; soft as sea foam. As close to fine high end French champagne as I’ve ever had in beer. Hard to believe this came from an American brewery.
Superb!
Am hopeful the bottle I bought will come close to the draft beer experience.

Poured from the 750ml bottle into a tulip. Big frothy head at first that faded into a ring - no lacing. Not overly funky aroma but typical smell of wood aged wilds - also get flowers and faint citrus aromas. Taste is on point! Sweet with a tart lemony finish, and a slightly salty sensation. Incredibly well balanced! Mouthfeel is ideal for the style - not overly carbed. Overall an incredibly impressive beer. Would put this up against any Belgian wild ale. And would definitely have this again!
