16oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. Can is dated 01/03/24. Sent to me by @russpowell in NBS BIF #18.
Pours silky black, not still but not much carbonation, small head, persistent thick ring and thin skin. Smell is coffee. Lots of coffee. Some anise and roasted grain, some molasses.
Taste is coffee, a little creamy sweetness, burnt sugar, anise.
Mouthfeel is thickish, smooth and creamy. Overall, very nice stout.

Pouring viscous void black, which turns out not to be so viscous on the palate, DOOM FORGE builds an impressively dark, tall mocha brown head settling to a blanket with mild retention that then dies off to a shiny smooth surface.
Ultra roasty, but not over the top, it's almost woody and nutty, with a creamy silky feel to the medium body. A light crackly carbonation develops further hints of smoky char and even tangy vanilla, as the coffee adds a touch of espresso acidity after the semi-sticky finish.
