Pours black with a thick cap of light cinnamon head. Good retention; fades to a nice little cap on the beer
Nose is sweet chocolate, coffee, dark roasted Malts, vanilla.
Taste is a huge wave of dark roasted coffee upfront with vanilla, and chocolate. Dark roasted malt
Thick, creamy body.
Great beer.

Glossy black and filling like a nitro stout, the slow to build but tall cascading mocha foam head rests at a puffy souffle-like surface that's slow to recede to a creamy film and bubbly collar leaving creamily wavy lace.
A silky yet sharp espresso roast brings a light acidity and hints of rum soaked vanilla bean as the medium body's fine carbonation comes to a paper dry finish, exhaling a little dark toast and a substantial heat not found in many Jester King brews.
There's a bit of an astringent hop presence that, while also found in their other clean stouts, is less forward here, but it's apparent they haven't quite found the same harmony with hops in clean brews that they have for their farmhouse ales.
