16oz can from Boise Co-op. I see the great reviews, and I'm not getting it. Orange golden pour with a one finger creamy head. Light aroma of apricots. Not sure if its the hemp, but a weird sour-ish flavor comes in after the stone fruit. Seems juicy. Thick. Not wowed by the taste.

16 oz. Can
Canned: 09/24/20
Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale orange/yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, apricot), nice little pineyness. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, apricot), pretty nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Nice to see it around here.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with some yeasty bits and a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of apricot, orange and caramel. Sweet toasted caramel with apricot, orange and a subtle piney bitterness.

Canned 9/24. Pours out a beautifully fully-hazed and stunning dark gold body with a large, fluffy white head. The fruit-puree appearance leads to a nose full of the impression of fresh apricot and nectarine and tart mango as well as underlying impressions of citrus. Drinks a little bigger than 6% with a complementary grain bill and lower carbonation. A tasty fruited pale ale.

Canned September 11th 2020.
Pours a hazy amber gold with oodles of foam.
Smells super hoppy, bitter, grapefruit citrus, somewhat dank, fruity.
The taste is bitter grapefruit, some pine, some notes of apricot, lemon and orange. Kinda juicy and has some dankness to it.
Medium body with mild carbonation.
For a Pale Ale, it is a bit over the top to my palate but it is quite drinkable.

a nice new one from melvin here, a hazy pale with apricot, which of course always makes me think of magic hat as the original apricot pale, not hazy obviously, but this is sort of a modern version of that, where the hops are well ahead of the fruit, but both come together well in a very drinkable beer. its cool melvin has been experimenting a bit more lately, this is a cool recipe, great hop complexion, and overall a very tasty brew. light orange tinted from the can, rad art on it, and an average white head, sudsy and foamy looking. aroma not sweet at all from the apricot, almost hard to even appreciate the fruit at this point. the hops are fruity, but more citrus and tropical to me than stone fruit, subtle, not overdosed, some mellow sweetness from the malt it seems too. the flavor sees the hops start real early, right up front, with some orange and pineapple juice notes, i guess i get apricot later on, but it could be peach nectarine or something too, i like the lower dose, but it does lack some pop in here. the beer is dry, even with a little bit of grain character in here, and its nice and fluffy feeling, well carbonated, and overall really very good and distinctive, even if the apricot doesnt really push to the forefront as much as i thought it would, definitely hops first, but they pair well for sure. melvin does hoppy stuff so well, its no surprise this is delicious and distinctive, different than what else is out there in the fruit and hops intersection. real tasty!
