Pint can icy cold, into a Wasatch Brewing (UT) ‘can glass’.
Presents bold, fluffy white head on a hazy yellowy eye.
Smell? Meh - not much there.,
Taste. I get sweet, little bits of dis and dat, doesn’t come off as a standout III- IPA. The alcohol zap helps, and maybe the bitter / brut finish boosts the rating a tad.
Feel is a bit dense, nicely, carb is medium.
Overall, happy to see Wyoming beer reach SW FL. “Common” is the best word.,.

even though i caught this one less than super fresh, i still really dug it, which i guess is a testament to melvin and how well they always do with their hoppy stuff. i have not seen a low of new from them recently, so this was a welcomed sight. glowing pale orange from the tap under a high and airy white head, its not quite clear and looks a little bit richer on the grain side, but bubbly and well refined. it smells great still, even with a little bit of apparent hop fade, a few months old i suspect, maybe more, kiwi fruit, white wine, honeydew and french melon, and some light honey sweetness behind it from the grain, different enough to stand out, not even very alcoholic for the strength here, the sweetness isnt out of place. the flavor is as good as the aroma, a little more citrus now, key lime zest, sweet orange, ripe guava, impressively complex, id love to know what hops are in here. the little bit of alcohol that does come through seems enhance the hops, help them permeate the tongue, not as bitter as a lot of these, and as such less need for heavy grain to balance, so this stays light even though its strong and off dry. as it warms i get some hash oil dankness, an oily slick thing to the texture, and some fresh flowers, really pretty dynamic for a beer thats on the downslide. this is right in their wheelhouse, stands out from the crowd but is also a textbook example of the style. another winner from these guys! i bet it absolutely slapped when it was fresher!

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, khaki-colored head of foam. it left sticky sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of resinous pine, grapefruit, orange and toasted caramel. Strong piney bitterness with caramel, roasted malt and a citrusy zing.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 03/18/22
Poured into a Treehouse glass a very nice slightly hazy dark golden orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, guava), pretty nice pine note. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, guava), nice little sweetness, pretty nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, pretty nice chewyness, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer.

Fresh 16oz can pours out bright gold with only mild haze; leads with some old-school herbal and dank aromatics, earthy and malty, with some mild caramel and some grassy weed. There is some present bitterness and overall it feels old-school in its IPA approach.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter.
Look- Deep amber, very slightly hazy, tiny visible particulate, cream colored frothy white head, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Grassy, earthy, piney, grapefruit.
Taste- Pine resin, grapefruit, mildly bready.
Feel- Medium body, moderate bitterness, creamy, mildly astringent finish, slightly below average carbonation.
Overall- A West Coast IPA featuring Ariana hops that felt more like it featured one of it’s secondary hops, Chinook.
