Dear Enjoyer,
Like a futuristic technology handed down from the gods, we became fascinated by the magical properties of Cryo Hops®, and decided to go all-in to feature them exclusively in a RIIPA recipe.
Bursting at the seams with tropical citrus notes and stonefruit aromas, "You Never Knew" this beer could have you feeling like you're just a few "Miles From The Sun."

Canned in a good old tallboy crafty can and part of a transatlantic can swap initiated by of all things the missus' 80's synth led band Japan group.
Pours a slightly hazy golden body with decent white head
Aroma is Pineapple, glucose and apricot
Flavour is sweet malt, papaya and a swift bitter finish

A: Pours with a light haze. A golden/yellow color with a one finger white head. Light lace.
S: Bready malts up front. Citrus rind and lighter generic fruity aromas mingles.
T: Toasted and bready malts with plenty of sweetness. Citrus rind, generic stone fruits. Needs more intensity and bitterness.
M/O: A full body with moderate carbonation. There is a chewiness from the hefty malt character. Not hard to drink, can't say its something I'll look to come back to often but enjoyable enough for a pint.
Nothing wrong with this, outside of me wanting more intensity and character. For the strength, I didn't get much of any alcohol heat. Overall, above average but noting special for me.

Canned date is indecipherable. I assume "Cyrogliphics" is a play on "hieroglyphics." Which is appropriate, since every single Melvin beer, in my experience, has illegible canning dates. ANYWAY.
Drank 10/21/24.
Pour is a slightly hazy moderate golden yellow with a big, lasting, cap of white foam. Very good retention. Good lacing.
Nose is dank, citrus rind, some tropical fruit
Taste is citrus, tropical fruit, moderate bitterness. Bready, biscuit malt character.

Mildly hazy, peach colored body; great carbonation; thick head, white, sculpted and frothy. Very appealing aroma; citrus-forward; fresh tangerine and orange notes. Nice balanced taste; mild cracker base carrying very pleasing citrus flavors; faint lemon with a bolder white grapefruit character; fairly strong bitterness. Medium body; a little brash with alcohol heat; sharp and dry.
For an imperial India pale ale, this one is nicely balanced and flavorful. Its citrus character is well-rounded and only slightly marred with a fairly harsh mouthfeel.
ABV: 8.5%; pouring temperature: 52 °F; canning info: unreadable
