From a 600 mL bottle, thanks Jon,
A: Pours an amber red with a light white head, spotty lace.
S: Nice caramel malt in the nose, some sugar cane, no real tart hallmarks of a Flanders Red though.
T: Caramel malt flavour again with a bit of earthy hops. Light flavour, certainly tastes more like an Irish Red than a Flanders Red as Jon stated.
M: Quite light in overall body weight. A pinprick of acid if I really try to look for it. Frothy easy carbonation.
O: While this beer is not atrocious I can drink it with no problem, it is not a Flanders Red by any stretch of the imagination. Call it Burgamn Irish Red, an it would have gotten a better review from me.

Now there's a Flanders Red labled beer being produced in Brazil. Well, by name at least. Part of a Burgman gift pack which I recieved as a "co-gift" from Guilherme and Milu (valeu os dois!), this beer was the most anticipted of the three Burgman's. On to the beer:
Reddish orange colored, topped with a small head and only a little remaining lace. Looks decent so far. Smells decent too, even if it's not to the tradtional Flanders nose. Fair notes of esters and fruit arise from the beer. If anything, this smells more like an Irish Red than a Flanders Red (not surprised though, as I've been told this when I received my beers.)
I'm finding it difficult to describe how dissapointing the beer's flavor arrives. Sure, maybe it isn't really to the style, but I least hoped for something with some taste. There isn't much taste to this beer. The tartness level is very low, and nature's best of bland cereals make the remaining. At least it isn't offensive (well, offensive in the case of making me puke). Just bland overall.
The weakest link of the three Burgman beers. I really hope this beer gets a facelift, as it not only lets down itself, but also the fast-growing Brazilian beer scene, as it's the only "Flanders" to be produced in the country.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
