A 750ml bottle with a bottled on date of 9.29.16

L - Light yellow, clear, no lacing after the head dissipates

S - Grape must, chardonnay

T - Like the aroma - grapes and chardonnay. Very mild belgian yeast strain

F - Light body and well carbonated

O - An enjoyable easy drinking saison. Must like grapes to enjoy this one!

a really well made beer, and exactly the kind of stuff i like the most from both breweries involved here, but i expected it to be a little more distinct and different. nice to look at, with a tall white head on a pale slightly hazy body, lots of bubbles visible. the aroma here is sweet from the fruit, less of a white wine complexion than i would have thought, more the sweet grape juice without the acidity of a finished wine. the wood is minimal in the nose too, could have used a little more time maybe in the barrels. however, there is a great belgian yeast complexion here, herbal and bright, nice with the fruit in the flavor, and really giving some balance to the sweetness. a little more oak in the flavor, but its not as prominent as it could be, the beer tastes new and lively rather than mature and mellow. great yeast flavor though, crackers and culinary herbs. effervescent carbonation, a little residual sweetness from the fruit, and just a tad of that belgian spice deal at the very end. good beer, flavorful and high quality, but i dont think its as cool with the fruit and the barrels as they obviously think it is based on the price of a bottle...
