On tap. Poured a clear amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. Faint blueberry smell with light caramel notes. Subtle blueberry taste with a lemony tartness.

Bottled September 12th 2017.

Pours a hazy pinkish red, small white head of foam, some lacing.

Tart blueberries, check, a bit yeasty. Simplicity works.

Tart blueberries, not crossing over to the sour side, again a bit yeasty, fairly dry finish, simple but fun to drink, due in partly because of the low abv.

Light bodied but I don't reckon that it ever gets to the point of being watery.

My favourite fruit done well in a lower alcohol beer. No complaints from me.

11.2 oz. Bottle
Bottled On: 2017.09.12

Poured into a tulip a pretty nice pinkish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty quick fizzy/creamy/foamy off-white head, which leaves minimal sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, with some blueberries, tart, sour. The taste is pretty nice, malty, yeasty, tart/soury, with a nice touch of blueberries. Medium body, ABV hidden very well. Overall, a tasty brew.

the base beer for this is one of my favorite funkwerks offerings, so its unsurprising that these dry hopped and fruited variants coming around are also exceptional. this is a cool one, packed with blueberries, its a deep violet in color, even the creamy head is stained purple, lasting too, sexy beer! the blueberries have a dried quality about them, a little sweet, concentrated, and a little tart, nice with the clean lactic sourness of the base beer. they are highly dosed though, and i do think we lose a little bit of the delicate nuance of the base beer as a result, which is tough, but its a decent trade off, as the blueberry flavor is great in here. quite authentic, a bit sweet. carbonation is awesome in this, and the blueberries seem to give it just a little more body, its silky feeling for a sour beer, and really is something quite unique overall. i think the blueberry is the perfect fruit for this beer, and has me thirsty for a dry hopped blueberry edition, i think that would work super well. funkwerks is still killing it!
