50% Exile King that had been aged in Chardonnay Oak Barrels for 8 months, 50% fresh Tropic King.
Pours a golden orange with a white, head. A big aroma of yeast, oak, and some peach. Flavor follows suits plus a little something extra; the yeast is quite noticeable, the wine tannins from the chardonay, some oak, and a nice dose of some peaches. A nice full bodied, beautifully creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a fantastic beer and quite possibly my favorite saison I have yet to try. Definitely my favorite that I have tried from Funkwerks. Loved it.
