On tap at the Red Cow into a snifter, pours a dark reddish amber honey, slightly hazy, a little off-white crown that subsides after a minute leaving decent lacing. Nose is bright fruity-tropical hops (passion fruit, lime, orange blossom) slightly green and floral...not really what one expects from a saison, but I'm not complaining, mainly because it is just plain delicious. The taste carries the nose forward into slightly more juicy territory. A little pepper about 2/3rd of the way through...and somehow both wet and very lively. Nice mouthful that is very lively, moderately wet, got some lime peel dryness at the end. Not really like any farmhouse I've ever had, but good stuff.

750ml bottle, bottled on 6/30/16 (just over a month ago). Pours orange with a fluffy white head.
Green apple, mango, and white grape on the nose.
Nice Galaxy fruitiness, low bitterness, a touch of tart grapefruit. More of an APA than a true saison.
Still very tasty. Medium bodied and drinkable.

yup, this is confirmed delicious. i even like it better than the nelson, which really never sang its sweet tropical song to me. this one is galaxy all the way, with a real pleasant fruity almost lime character in the finish. darker in color than i remember the others being, more dark golden to bronze really, with its familiar white head on top. the nose screams galaxy, and citrus is what i taste first. the grain base is appreciably light, some wheat giving it the body it does have. carbonation is way up, and i get the oils of the hops all through the finish. not as yeast forward as most of their beer, and this one almost not at all for a saison, but the flavor of the hops is really impressive. we need more single hop galaxy beer in my opinion, this is outstanding.
edit: somewhat less dramatic on the hops in more recent batches, although still excellent, its not a vibrant as i remember it being when it first came out. i like the bigger body, seems like a balancing agent. cool beer, these guys rule!

An All-Galaxy hops hopped funky Belgian. The fruity notes of the galaxy hops go well with the funky, spicy Belgian yeasty notes. Extremely easy drinking and smooth, with the alcohol very well hidden. Third in a series of five at funkwerks, all delicious.

Tall frothy head in the New Belgium snifter. Plenty of lacing and a sudsy mouthfeel. Lemony, herbal aroma with a bready nose.
From the first sip this is a pleasant slushy mouthful with an edge. The dry Belgian taste is touched by something like lemon verbena. Light malt with a biscuit taste. This is so dry and yeasty I don't taste much of the touted fruit flavors. Faint cantaloupe flavor but more like coriander. Gets very yeasty with a bitter edge.
This is very tangy and spritzy and makes a nice quaff, but it's kind of simple. Very light flavors but the classic Saison taste, only lighter and less sweet. From the 750 ml bottle purchased at Wilbur's Total Beverage in Fort Collins.
