Found at Woodman's in Kenosha.
Looks only slightly above average; decent foam fades and golden is not brilliant. Smells slightly below the average, mostly sweet malt and very faint grassy hops. Tastes are the same. This is a well-integrated lager, doesn't try to do too much and doesn't. Which is really what this style is about: it is a beverage, not an addition to the kitchen... just a supporting adjunct.
I had Jasne Petne with a sweet bread and it was fine complement. I finished Jasne Petne with a Mexican spicy corn dish and it helped wash that down. Nothing exceptional; but completely acceptable and welcome accompaniment to a hodge-podge meal.
My first from Sulimar, so I went on their website and could not fathom what was going on (they had an English button, so nothing was lost in translation. Maybe it was my cold sweat that breaks out when confronted with the impenetrable Polish.) But this much I understand: they are a brand manager for beer, wine and energy drinks. None of the beers and their wild labels resembled Zlotny Lan's conservative label. But at this point, whatever. I enjoyed the beer and that counts most.

Pours clear, gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is cereal, skunk, and pale malt. Light bodied, bitter, with high carbonation. A little too bitter. Prefer several other beers from this brewery. A hard pass for me in the future.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
