On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark glossy black color, with a small head, and very little lacing.
Smells like rich earthy oak, vanilla, mild whiskey, chocolate, and roasted malt.
This is a really elegant and well-done barrel aged. It's about a 9 month old keg here, so it's probably even more balanced and integrated at this point. This has gotta be one of the most oak-forward stouts I've had, it's delicious, subtly bitter, and earthy. There's some vanilla, roasted espresso bean, roasted malt, and dark chocolate, with just a kiss of whiskey. The spirit comes out stronger as it warms.
This is pretty thick bodied, with a very creamy mouthfeel, and an appropriate level of carbonation for the style.
This is absolutely killer. Naked Dove nails traditional styles so well, so it's cool to see that they also nail something more, how do I say it...modern like this. Super tasty and super delicious.
