This one pours a fairly dark black, with a small foamy white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells just about spot on for the style- earthy roasted malt, pumpernickel bread, light smoke, and chocolate.
This has such a wonderful creamy character to it- it's a joy to drink. There's lots of bittersweet chocolate, some light fruitiness, grassy hops, and a nice heavy roasted character- it finishes fairly bitter.
This is medium bodied, creamy and deceptively rich, with a good level of carbonation.
Naked Dove absolutely nailed this one- it's everything you want in the style.
