On tap at Brick Pizza in Pittsford, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear light amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
List most Naked Dove IPAs, this smells quite malty- but it's not a bad malt aroma- lightly caramelly, very toasty, etc. There's also some strawberry and grapefruit hop flavors.
This isn't too much of a heavy hitter, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. The malt flavors dominate the hop flavors, which is too bad, because they seem interesting- there's a bit of strawberry, some grapefruit, and piney hops. The malt flavor is dominant, which I don't love, but at least the malt characteristic tastes fairly good, as described by the aroma.
This is light bodied, crisp and pretty clean, with a good level of carbonation and a high level of drinkability.
I usually go into IPAs from Naked Dove understanding that they don't brew them very well. This isn't too bad, but it's absolutely nothing that will knock your socks off.
