On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, sweet chocolate, smoke, and coffee.
Is an imperial schwarzbier basically a baltic porter? Whatever this is, it's great. It's got such a warm and inviting malt character - with just the right level of smoke. There's loads of dark chocolate, very clean roast, a touch of spice, and dark coffee like flavors. I don't get much hop flavor - it's just all malt, baby.
This is creamy, and pretty thick, with a great drinkability, and no real booziness to it.
This is exactly the wheelhouse Naked Dove should always be aiming for. This is excellent.
