The off white head is short lived as it rapidly falls from two inches to a thin veil. Spotty lace clings to a Pilsner glass above the hazy, light copper beer (SRM 12-14). An opalescent layer of yeast haze has formed a top layer after the second pour, presenting a very pretty, although far from style, appearance.
The aroma opens with faint, dusty hay that leads to mild grains only noticed through concentration.
Lightly toasted malt has mild bitterness in the opening. Whole wheat bread follows, with modest sweetness and light spiciness after warmth. The finish passes quickly and has a modest strength.
Alcohol is as expected. The texture is similar to stiff cotton, while the body is medium with moderate carbonation as well.
I enjoyed this out back on a late spring afternoon. Having consumed this immediately after The Goat, I can say that The Goat was more enjoyable. Both beers, however, did work with a Bloomy Brie that had strong notes of mushrooms.

Taster fight at brewery. Copper colored pour, head fades to ring. malty aroma, mild sweetness. Taste is malty, bready sweet with a really slick feel. Right in the ballpark.

Pours a light amber. Thin foam. Malty aroma. Sweet malt body. Finishes clean. Easy drinking. Not bad.

This one pours a light golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey, nutty and bready malt, and light tea-like bitterness.
This is perhaps a little bit too sweet for the style, but I still enjoy it. There’s a good malt character, but a bit too much sweet and honey-like breadiness.
This is very drinkable, crisp, and clean, with a smooth finish.
I’ve enjoyed other Naked Dove lagers a bit more than this one, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t still enjoy this one.
