A short-lived, light chestnut head falls from one and a half inches to nothing within three to five minutes. The beer itself is clear dark copper (SRM 16-18). No lacing is left on a Pilsner glass.
The aroma is similar to charred sugar, not quite bruleè.

The flavor is all malt, with deep toasted malt up front, combined with sweet notes and mild bitterness. Lots of caramel leads to Heath bar toffee. The finish is long and mild. Warmth brings out more of the charred caramel malt suggested by the Heath bar earlier.

A full to medium body with light carbonation and the texture of coarse wool. Alcohol is as expected.

This is a good drinking beer for after work. I enjoyed it out on the deck during a mild, late spring afternoon. Had this just before My Goat, and preferred The Goat of the two.

This one pours a golden amber brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells semi-sweet, but nicely toasty and toffee-like, with lemony and grassy hops.

This one is better than Naked Dove’s other bock release, My Goat. There’s a very nice malt character, almost doppelbock like in intensity, with caramel, toffee, toasted breadiness, and some fruitiness, with a touch of lemon rind and grassy hop character.

This is medium bodied, and crisp, with a great drinkability.

I could drink a good amount of these pretty easily.
