Brewed with three different chocolate malts and pureed black raspberries. Tastes of bright berries with a roasty body.

On tap at Half Pint Pub in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, and dark chocolate, but weirdly no raspberry on the nose.
Naked Dove is generally a fairly straightforward and traditional brewery, so it’s not surprising that this has very little raspberry in it, but I didn’t quite think there would be essentially no raspberry character imparted. There’s still a lot to like about this one, as the brewery makes a really solid porter. It’s definitely somewhat disappointing that the raspberry is so faint, though.
This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, and quite drinkable.
This was a little bit of a missed opportunity, but I still enjoyed it.
