Appearance: Pitch black passable head/lacing.
Aroma: Notes of smoke, oak, and whiskey with a nice hit of chocolate and roast.
Flavor: Similar to the nose, with some more biscuity malt complexity.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, no booze, or roasted astringent lingering flavors.
Overall: Great, artful balance with smoke, stout, and oak.

Westbrook Double Barrel Smokin Guns
8oz pour on draft at the brewery
A: jet black, small tan head dissipates quickly, almost no lacing 4
S: very smokey, some sweet apple brandy notes, a bit of booze, charred oak 4
T: very smokey, tons of char, some oaky vanilla bourbon character, subtle brandy; barrel notes aren't as strong as I'd like and really the smokey char dominates which is a bit disappointing 3.75
M/D: medium body, carbonation appropriately low, ABV well restrained, drinkability is average 4
O: good beer but a bit disappointing , very much still worth a try though 4
