Poured from a growler obtained at Pavillion Beverage in North Myrtle Beach SC on July 1st, 2015. A month in the fridge did nothing to this one...excellent carbonation, super strong barrel nose and taste. True to style..this is a sipper. Great malty sweetness and alcohol heat...

I found this to be very boozy with a ton of whisky and alcohol. Some dark fruit resonated with a bit of grain, nut and malt but the alcohol kept creeping back.

A- dark, muddy brown with a thin khaki head. Some, but minimal, lace. S- oh wow! Bourbon, toffee, s'mores. Really nice! T- charred, woody bourbon, but not overpowering. Sweet toffee, milk chocolate and some vanilla. M- heavier side of medium with a really creamy feel. No booziness from a rather low ABV for this style. Kind of like that. O- wow, this impressed the hell out of me. The three barrels blend seemed to drown out any rye taste at all but still an awesome beer.
